General Introduction

Precision medicine is an emerging technology that takes into account individual variability of environment, lifestyle and genes for each person in disease diagnosis and treatment. Under the precision medicine concept, we will assemble and analyze gene variants that a patient may have inherited or acquired throughout his/her life logs. We will study new biomarkers and mechanisms of cancers and other incurable diseases to overcome drug resistance. We will identify new therapies from patients or better animal and cell-based models of diseases. Algorithms will be built by integration of lifestyle, environment, and genetics to deliver new knowledge according to the goal. It will deliver precise diagnosis and therapeutic strategy to support patients and medical staffs as a powerful resource. As part of the national policy for precision medicine, we will lead the effort to develop more effective ways to prolong health and treat diseases. logy.
